Touch a ghost and you'll lose a life! Blinky (the red ghost) and Pinky (the pink ghost) are the fastest ghosts, so to win at Pac Man you need to keep an eye on these ones in particular.

If you want to move fast, don't eat dots

When you move around the Pac Man map, you move a lot faster when you're not eating the little dots that cover the screen.

While it's important to collect as many of these as possible, if you're trying to get away from a ghost, choose a route that doesn't encounter a lot of dots to get away faster.

Gain as many points as possible

As well as collecting the small dots, try your best to collect any fruit that appears across the map. This will gain you more points, making sure you build up your lives and end the game victorious.

You also get a chance to "power up" occasionally, meaning you can eat ghosts and get them off your back for a bit.

To get even more points, wait until at least 3 ghosts are nearby before you use your "power up" as this will ensure you gain as many points as possible by eating them!

Stay away from ghosts when they regenerate

When you've eaten a ghost, it will return to the jail area. In a few seconds, it will regenerate and come back onto the map to chase you.

Make sure you are nowhere near this jail area when the ghosts regenerate, otherwise you could lose a life or end the game completely.
