The range of funfair attractions and rides from which you can choose is quite extensive, as you have seen from our own offerings that include the classic and iconic Ferris wheel to swing boats, bumper cars, crazy bulls, chair-o-planes, and even newer attractions and rides such as bungee trampolines and virtual simulators.
But aside from rides and attractions, you may also be thinking of activities and games which can make your event even more special – games and activities that everyone can play and enjoy. Of course, in terms of game stalls, we’ve got you covered with our fairground hire services, and we’ve got everything from Hoopla to hook a duck to arcade machines and so on. But while these games are super fun and can also be enjoyed by everyone if you want to give your guests an even more memorable experience at your fairground or funfair event, here's a list of activities you can prepare – and the more creative they are, the better!
A bead booth and contest
One activity that can occupy the little ones and give parents some room to breathe is a bead booth and contest, and all you need are some beads, thin cords, and creative ideas for creating a variety of beads, which you can easily find on the Internet. You can prepare the beads ahead of time, and you can even make them from natural materials such as pebbles and rocks or even macaroni. Everyone who joins in the fun can create their own custom necklace or bracelet, and the most creative and attractive design wins a prize.
A cake-decorating competition
Another brilliant activity most of your guests and attendees can enjoy is a cake-decorating competition, and participants can choose their cakes and simply start decorating. Don’t forget the tools they need, from frosting to toppings like sprinkles and the like, but you can make the competition more interesting by giving away prizes for each age group as well as creating awards for the most disgusting (this is perfect for Halloween), the most seasonal, the most creative, and more.
An ‘exile’ contest
Here’s a great idea for an activity, and it’s a sure way of bringing adults together. An exile contest is where your guests and participants can ‘purchase’ a chance to ‘exile’ someone by sending them to a specially-created jail or box where they have to spend a specific amount of time. While they are there, they can also occupy their time by trying to find various clues to a special mystery so they can get a prize as well.
A musical chair contest
Musical chairs at a party is a classic, and we have all participated in musical chair contests at some point in time. They are a lot of fun indeed, and you can make your musical chair contest more interesting by asking for as many as 40 to 50 participants (with 30 chairs for the 40 participants and 40 chairs for the 50 participants) and then working your way down to a single winner who also gets a special prize (perhaps one of the cakes from the cake decorating contest?).
Funfair or fairground events are all about fun, and with these brilliant activities and contests, all your guests and attendees will definitely have a day to remember.
